There is no problem with a lamp going partially in front of artwork. It is called an American hang.

What if you did a large piece of art with sconces on either side? Then your table lamp wouldn't block anything. You can get nice sconces that plug in so you don't have to mess with electrical. Although I agree that it's OK to have part of the lamp layered in front. I like the abstract that Paul suggested -- it's different from your other art but looks nice in your space. You can find some reasonably priced original art on Etsy.

Have you thought about drapery for those windows? That would soften and cozy up the space too.

If you like the horsewoman I think she would look nice framed in a textured or carved off-white frame in the same feeling as your rug, throw and sheepskin. Something very natural. Possibly even something like rattan or wicker, textured...

Thanks for the suggestions. i agree about the curtains and will have to add those especially after seeing it on the mock up. I do like mixing styles, such as adding a more modern piece such as what has been suggested. i like “horsewoman” , but unless i really mat it up, it will be too small at 20” x 15”. i will play around with the suggestions and add them to my photo to visualize in the space. thanks for all the suggestions.

also check out the paper tapestries from Anthropologie - many of them are quite large and create a big impact for the dollar

Your lamp is too small for that table. Think about an arc lamp over your coffee table, high enough so it doesn't interfere with your TV.

All of these suggestions on specific art or where to look are extremely hepful. i so appreciate it, along with lamp and drape ideas. i have struggled with how to complete this space and now i have more of a vision. thank you for all the feedback.

My hope for you is that you will find something to put on your wall that is meaningful to you, personally. That speaks to you. Or else it is just a waste of time and space.

Update: Although i loved the more modern 2 large pieces or 3 pieces of art suggested, i already had this piece so decided to try it. I also added the curtains as suggested. So happy with the curtains softening the toom. Thx for helping me with the finishing touches!

Wood flooring tiles at Floor and Decor. I wouldn't attempt a match to your wood like this photo shows. I'd find a wood that has little highlights of your color. Buy a sample and try it in your lighting.

I really love the drama of your art and room, and I could see an accent color on the art wall, if there is a logical stopping point for the color. I think BM Vintage Vogue could be nice there.

I just realized the herringbone would match your shower. Look into it. I think it would look great.

I’d repeat the green from the painting / outdoors under the window. You don’t need anymore wood tones.

Maybe one of these on the large wall would add some texture and contrast to tie in your neutrals and warm browns/tans. :) Here are a few abstract pieces for you to consider..
