An aggressive wire brush would be difficult to keep clean. Monarch has several price points that may fall under $ 10.00 square foot. White Oak is the rage and has been for some time. Thank goodness my line isn't strictly wide plank. I get a large number of inquires from folks seeking narrower plank in the 3-5" range. It's almost non-existent in your average flooring showroom.

In solid wood flooring expansion and contraction makes wide planks hard to install so they don't move noticeably. Narrow is safer. Engineered flooring moves less and 7-12" planks are possible. These wide pieces show the figure of the wood more than narrow strips. Two different looks. Most people have never seen wide plank floored spaces.

True. I was trying to reference narrower engineered. Doesn't look like you have anything close. Mostly 7" and over?

I absolutely love the flooring I chose and I get comments on it whenever someone comes . Coretec Woodbury Maple. No knots. No bevels. No strange texture. It is smooth and a soft brownish color without being red or yellow. I chose it for its timeless features of smaller plank size and color. These pictures do not capture the color at all, no matter the lighting in my house, it looks like the picture on the website.

We needed up with 8” wide planks from Riva Spain in the color Crystal. We went with the character grade. The floors have been covered for awhile since painting etc is not finished, but they’re beautiful.

So glad to know! Crystal has been the brand's best-selling color. We sold quite a few Riva jobs in Minnesota. Smoke is hot selling color for us. Here is an 8" Elite Crystal Character pic. Hope to see yours soon:)
