Trim with a red brick house - help

Hello, I am trying to figure out the best color to have our trim (windows, gutters, eaves, garage door, etc) painted. I don't like the stark white. We are replacing the front door with a 3/4 glass fiberglass door that will be stained with minwax gel stain. I need help with stain color too.

Here is a photo of our house. I have since pulled off the plastic shutters. Does this house need shutters (design-wise)? Here also is a photo of the new door (except ours will have clear glass and 6 lites) and a close up of our brick.

I would appreciate any advice and suggestions!

Thank you for all the photos Beverly. I should have mentioned, I really don't want anything gray. I am so tired of the gray trend, although I do realize that the gray relates to our gray roof. We also need to decide if we should paint the gutters the same as the trim or a darker color. I would like to do something to call less attention to them

I'm no expert (as many here are) but is it possible to paint your window trim a dark color? I agree about taking off the shutters as they probably serve no reason aesthetically. Your home is beautiful and I love the brick color.

Can the white of the windows be painted? If not, a color similar to the window trim would be my choice.

I also think that improving your landscaping would be the biggest boost to the curb appeal of your home.

any othe these SW colors would compliment your red brick.

trimming back the greenery to expose the lovely architecture would be a plus.

Yes, we will be painting all the trim around windows. Landscaping will be the next project!
