lighting for 36” vanity with sink on left

Vanity will be 36” with under mount sink on left
Vanity is also against the wall on the left.
Recommendations for mirror and light placement much appreciated. Would prefer sconces, but, concerned space is too tight.

Bath is 5 1/2’ x 9’. Typical layout -vanity on left as you enter, toilet next in line and tub straight ahead.
Sorry no pictures as this is new construction.
Greatly appreciate all input.

if it's new... adjust the sink now and get the sconces you want.

I had something similar. I'd install a rectangular mirror the width of the vanity and flush with the wall on the left. I'd position a vanity light over the mirror.

Center the sink that is a really small vanity to have an offset sink . Post a pic here of the spac eplease post in a comment DO NOT start another post .I do not like sconces for lighting anywhere except outside . A nice rectangular bathroom bar light will work but I agree the mirror needs to be the same width as the vanity with the light above it.

Sconces on the sides provide the best quality of light. There are lots of skinny fixtures popular right now, so as Lyn said, put the sink in the middle. With a 20" wide mirror you have plenty of room for sconces. How about a medicine cabinet? In a small bathroom, storage is at a premium. Or consider a lighted medicine cabinet.
