How do I fix this door?

This is a new framing and door job. You can see at the bottom our contractor cut the bottom of the door so it is chop and uneven.
I assume that was to compensate to allow the left side swing all the way open with uneven floors. You can see the gap is narrow on the left side of the door when fully open (close up with blue wall).
Am I being too picky? This seems like sun-par work. How would you fix?
I can’t believe my new doors look like this. Seems like they should have just done the framing with an extra inch in the first place and then they wouldn’t have to cut the door at all.

The door looks to me like it is cut straight, its the floors that are off. I think he did a good job, the doors look good. Its hard to get the bottom right, when your floors are not level. I can see the unlevel floors from your pictures. You will get used to it, and soon will not even notice. The doors look nice. You do need to touch up your trim paint, and I see a few places there, that need to be caulked, but, I am assuming, he isnt done yet, so will get to those things.

That does not work either as then the door heads are not aligned. All door header heights should 100% be at the same height. Doors are trimmed all the time due to floors being out of level/flatness. The trim job is just awful. They need to be cut again, however this will make the gap at the bottom larger. You need to decide if this warrants new doors or not.

I think they did a good job. It is hard to make something look right when its not.

With a door you need to make sure the door jam is plumb and the header is level and at a 90 degree corner to each other. without this, a lot of things go wrong with the function.

With all that explained, the only thing a carpenter can do is mess with the bottom if the door. Some adjustability is built into the door, but is limited.

Remember, people look up most of the time, and even if they do look down, its an expectation of an old house.

@cat_ky I agree the top looks good, but the bottom looks jagged (not a straight line, almost wavy)? The person from the door/window company thought they probably cut with the wrong saw.

There is a bump. They should file, sand, or plane that down.
