The washer needs to be connected to WiFi and remote update enabled. Then the Miele app can be used to check for firmware updates and apply them. There was a software bug on almost all Miele washers shipped to North America where bleach was not being dispensed.

The firmware update will fix that.

Thanks @luna123456 I just downloaded the app and updated both the washer and dryer.

I'm now running a load of white towels with bleach on normal, Will report back when completed.

Bleach dispensing is normally turned off in settings. make sure it is turned on if it doesnt dispense.

@luna123456 It worked! Upon completion the liquid bleach dispenser was bone dry.

Now if only there was an update for the dryer the get laundry really dry on Extra Dry ;)

Its best to have a slight amount of residual moisure in the dryer. clothes wear out significantly faster when they are bone dry.

There is a setting for normal plus and extra dry in settings where you can adjust eachbone to be a little dryer or a little damper if desired.
