window coverings

I’d love thoughts on curtains for this room. We need not only pretty but functional.
More specifically color, and how many panels. There are windows on either side of that French door

With the pretty details in the room, I would consider using inside mounted natural woven shades with black out lining. They will add texture and won't distract from the B&B or beams.

I do not likewoven wood blinds and for sure not in bedrooms. But is the bedding staying?do you have to keep the blinds on the windows? Are those plataion shutters on the french doors? I guess I need more info .

Better pics from farther back. I like sheers on bedroom windows since they allow light in, but that depends on how much privacy is needed. If there are people wandering around right outside you’ll need more coverage.

I will take more pictures. I was wanting curtain panels. I just wasn’t sure how many what color with the accent wall being different.

I need to darken my room from the morning sun. I don’t anything for privacy I live on acreage just from morning light

If this is in response to my comment for woven shades with black out lining I did not say or mean wood blnds. It does not reallly matter what you like, but what the OP likes, who has now said she wants curtain panels.

    Woven shades w/blackout lining

aj65, I had custom draperies made for our last home. I wanted to be able to see out during the day, so I also had linen sheers made. The draperies had inner lining, so dark for nighttime, but the bedrooms would be pitch black with them all closed, so I usually left one open.

You can always do Roman shades on either side of the bed and curtains on the French door/windows. This was a guest room in our last house that our grandson would stay in. Shades on two windows, curtains on the large window.

On your window/door wall, you could do one panel on each window (far left side, far right side) and a pair on the French doors that stack back to be between the windows and doors.

With the green accent wall and monochromatic bedding/rug, consider using a small tone-on-tone pattern instead of a solid color. Or find a pattern with color that you love.

You can find blackout lined curtains on several websites. I found these on Amazon and just chose beige because the lining was pictured. They have a lot of colors.

I would put curtains all around in every window and door that disturbs your morning. Our house came with inset mounted wood blinds in every room and they’re a life saver when the sun is strong. I happen to like them because they blend perfectly with all the wood trim in the house.

    Here are the curtains.
