There are liquid and powdered additives that you can add to your cement mix. Look in stucco section of where you buy your cement.

This sounds like a professional's job to me and I'll tackle just about anything DIY. How large a space are you hoping to cover?

IMO a bad idea but really we need pics of what you are trying to do and also why fake fauz finished stone at all. There are tons of thin real stone veneers that can give the illusion of much thicker stone I need info her ein comments DO NOT start another post but post pics here too.

I thi nk I know what you're talking. We had our outside front entrance (9'x12') done with this technique. We wanted the look of a large exposed flat rock that you would see and hike on when hiking in our mountain trails. We had it professionally done with varying shades of grey with micro contours in it as well. It was all one piece which is what we wanted.. The inside entrance (same size) had complementary slate flooring in 12x24 sizes.

I have no idea how to DIY it though.
