We don't know where you live, but is there an IKEA near you? They make decent ready-to-assemble cabinets.

You can also order IKEA online, but it's always best to see samples in-person, regardless of what cabinets you're getting.

I am working on a small kitchen as well. I ordered one base from quicklock cabinets and so far I’m pleased and plan to order the rest. We chose unfinished maple (we wanted a handpainted custom look), but they have some finished options as well. They are US made and the prices are very competitive. The sizes are limited, but so far they seem like an excellent choice if they have what you need.

J&K is quite good. I have some in a rental house going on 6 years (and primary for 5). Need to be tightened every once in a while but otherwise doing well. And there have been some rough renters.

People here hate "import junk" but think about the statement for a little while. And then think about cars, phones, computers etc. And most furniture nowadays. And, yes, these are not all the same and furniture made in the US 30 years ago was better quality.

I am not sure why cabinets would be the one thing that must be made in the US or it is junk. That is just silly. It is great to buy US made products but cabinets are a racket.

Now, I am not entirely sure that Subzero (US made, big premium) is worth it but at least it is a well-known extremely durable product. And the comparable imports are not that much cheaper. And, yes I have Subzero - 30 inch towers no less - in a J&K kitchen.

The problem with cabinets from Chinese suppliers can be the lack of source info. China has a phrase, "If you can cheat, cheat. And they have a well developed industry in one city for making copies of other goods at low price which only look good on the outside. It's good enough. Yiwu is the counterfeit capital of China. Every day, approximately 200,000 distributors buy up to 2,000 tons of goods from the city's wholesale black market. 1.7 million different products are available. Again, the lack of traceability of who is actually building a product is important. No reputation is involved. Things can change day-to-day.

Ikea builds their Vedhamn European Oak cabinets in Hungary, I have a sample drawer front. It's a quality solid product. Better than NA White Oak, a different species. We are very happy with our made in USA Conestoga cabinets and just put them in our sons kitchen also. They are custom and the price depends on what features you get, our sons kitchen was quite affordable. Barker also makes a good quality USA RTA cabinet.

We just used RTA cabinets from https://www.cabinetjoint.com/ and are very pleased with the results. They are made by Conestoga in the USA, but offer a reduced choice of styles and finishes which further lowers their manufacturing costs.

The only one i would and have used is Ikea. They have a good warranty too
