Here are two differnent schemes I think are quite handsome. This first one has gorgeous green trim, and a gray that looks like it’s matched to the mortar. The second photo shows the roof color. The third photo has black window trim and a very dark roof, so I’m not sure if this scheme will work with your white window trim, though I love the wood-look of the garage door with the brick color.

Agree. Leave the brick alone and go with black or sage green accents.

We are getting a new roof so have that to work with as well.

Consider dark charcoal, make sure it doesn't lean too blue or green. Black is always a good option too but aren't that many to choose from, they're often named Moire Black - that's usually the one I choose if it looks right.

Why I wouldn't do a brown. Because it's really hard to align the hue family of the brown roof with the yellow-red of the brick. Many of the brown options lean "rusty" or golden.

If, emphasis on if, you can find a really deep, dark roasted coffee kind of roof option, that could be pretty too. All depends on what's available in your region.

Because roof color options are regional. What's available in the Southwest isn't always available on the East Coast, for example.

The yellow trim isn't great. I'd change it to cream.
