Can the bed be moved to the other wall? Or will it make it impossible to open the (closet?) door?

The room has nice furnishings already. Add lamps to the bedside tables. Add large artwork to the empty wall.

It's not easy to see if a different wall would work better than in front of the window without a measured floor plan. I'd add a large rug, lamps plus a new ceiling light fixture and art work. Depending on the pathway around the bed, I'd perhaps remove the single chair and I'd remove the mirror.

I would like a color on the walls. It can be a nuetral beige to coordinate with the drapes.

I would put that mirror else where.

Thanks everyone so far for the suggestions! Since I haven’t left the house yet so far I’ve taken out the chair (I put the mirror where it was but not sure… I just need a full one to get ready)

What is your budget? The best way to get the biggest buck out of your budget is to find second hand items. Check Facebook Market, Garage Sales, Good Will, etc.

There is usually, quite a bit of art, lamps and mirrors. People are always willing to negotiate the price.

If you can move the bed to the far wall and do another door on the closet, it would be good. It does look like it might be a tight squeeze on that back wall. It’s good that you have the drapes behind the bed to give you the option of closing them while sleeping.

Better already without the chair in there. You don't mention your style so it is hard to make specific suggestions. Your bedside tables are small so I wouldn't put a lamp on then. Instead try to find inexpensive plug in wall sconces. (Do you have outlets near the beds?) If you like color you could get them with a pop of color, or get brass. Something to make them decorative and functional. Get large artwork for the walls. Yes to FB marketplace and craigslist.

You can always remove the closet door and hang a curtain in it's place if you want to try your bed the other way.

I like your headboard but it's taking up some valuable inches of your space. If your budget allows, I'd purchase an inexpensive upholstered headboard so you can push your bed/mattresses closer to the wall. Purchase two additional wall mirrors and hang on the back wall so it works like art but is still functional for your when getting ready. Add lamps to your bedside table but don't get them too tall. Or an even better idea would be to get plug-in swing arm wall hung lamps so that it doesn't take up your tabletop space. Add some artwork and a few plants to liven the space up. Then add some of those colors to your existing bedding. The last thing I'd do is to purchase another set of the same curtains, if still available, to make the window treatment fuller.

It would really help if you could do a sketch of the floor plan with all measurements. First overall dimensions and then go around the room - corner to closet door > closet door with molding > closet to corner > corner to entrance door molding > door with molding > etc. you get the idea.

Also what size bed do your have?

If there is any other place to put the bed please move it. Bed covering a window is just awful.

I did a quick floor plan 10x13 room with a queen bed. Consider putting the bed on the solid back wall and not under the window. If you cannot paint your rental, there are several ways to introduce color and interest.

Here are my suggestions.

Your headboard with storage takes up lots of space for your small bedroom. I suggest you look into an upholstered headboard platform bed with storage drawers on the side, you can find nice inexpensive ones such as the one shown under $350-$400). Place a nice throw and accent pillows over your white duvet cover. On the back wall install a narrow floating shelf with decor on and above. Your mirror can be placed on the wall on the left of your entrance door to the room. You can find nice inexpensive table lamps and chandelier such as shown on Amazon (modern crystal chandelier under $100). A nice light coloured area rug would also look nice under the bed.

The door swing hitting the bed would be very awkward.

Concerning the closet door swing with the bed on the back solid wall, either change the swing of the door or when using your closet, open the door all the way. Being in NYC, it's always tight and awkward. ha. You can always "cheat" with the spacing with a few inches more at the closet side.

I feel the bed under the window is unappealing and not inviting. By moving the bed to the solid wall, you will create a balanced niche, which the room needs. Then there will be so many possibilities for lamps/wall sconces, art and accessories, by concentrating on that wall. Do not overload all the walls with art and accessories - keep the luxury of space.

The nice thing about furniture is that you can move it around. I would love to see a pic with the bed moved.
