Super Glue on Quartz

Did a really smart thing and dropped super glue on new quartz. We quicky ran for paper towel and water… but it dried instantly.

It is gorilla glue, and while I was able to soften it and scrape it off gently with a putty knife, the glue instantly left its mark. Thankfully we can only see it with the glare, and it is now smooth and feels like normal but a foggy appearance.

Wondering if anyone has any great ideas to remove the stain the adhesive left? Thinking the answer may be to learn to live with it. Thanks!

Scrape with a ceramic razor blade please; it won't leave metal marks. Hit it with some acetone on a paper towel.

@https://www.houzz.com/professionals/general-contractors/joseph-corlett-llc-pfvwus-pf~848525206 there does not appear to be anything to scrape anymore and feels the same/smooth as the rest of the counter. I tried a cotton ball and acetone for 3 seconds then quicky rinsed with water and no difference. Am i doing it wrong? Thank you

Did you abrade the surface somehow with the paper towel or try some BKF so something? If so, you've caused the finish to mismatch. You'll need a wet diamond pad protocol on a variable speed grinder if that's the case and that's not a DIY project.

Let the acetone dwell for several minutes please. It won't hurt the estone.

@https://www.houzz.com/professionals/general-contractors/joseph-corlett-llc-pfvwus-pf~848525206 just used paper towel and water as an immediate reaction when it spilled. (No BKF, but I tried goo gone to soften it.)

There is nothing felt on the surface at this point and is a shadow of the exact outline of the glue. Just to clarify, I should still let acetone sit?
