Hello Everyone on Houzz:

We moved into a condo with built-in bookshelf, but it has no lighting as you can see from the two photos. I am looking for some input on how to make this dark area brighter at night. Here are my ideas so far:
1.) Small recessed gimbal lights.
2.) A few small table lamps as there are plug hidden behind the drawers. I could just drill holes in the shelves and run the cord behind.
3.) Undercabinet type lighting on top, or under each shelf.
4.) Three library or piano lights from the top board, one above each section. They would need to not stick out very far because our son-in-law is pretty tall.

Would love to hear your preferences, other suggestions, and any pros and cons to each solution. Thank you!
