We got an inch to inch and a half. But it’s cold, barely 33F, 20’s at night. Next few days it’s going to be cold 🥶.

The first snow always looks so pretty! It's how long the cold lasts that can get depressing.

So far we've only had a dusting that didn't stick.

We received 9" heavy wet snow and lost power at 1:40 AM but got it back 9:02 PM.

We have had 3 snow falls over the past few weeks but this fourth one was the first plowable amount. We got around 5-6 inches with light snow still falling and more in the forecast. Yes very pretty but not welcomed. I really dislike winter. I had been outside a few times today but took this pic from inside.

Wow Laurie, is this early for significant snow? we had a second batch of snow over last night….an inch of snow and it was gone by noon….too warm to stay.

Yes/no depending on the year Sherry. A couple of years ago we had snow in early Nov. that stayed then followed by a really cold spring. That was one looong winter and everyone was beginning to wonder if it would ever end. It was quite horrible. We have also had several where we came close to having a green Christmas. Generally this is close to average time wise. I am feeling rather sorry for myself lol!

Here its a complete 180 from last year. so far just dustings of snow that melt away. 50 degrees today in december. typically this time of year we see highs of 20-30f. semi greenish grass.

About six inches today, so it's here to stay for a while. Not unusual for this time of year, but it does make getting around harder. Every winter that goes by, I understand more and more why some people are snowbirds!

I am not a snowbird, but I do have an inability to live north of I-10. Actually, I have lived at one end or the other all my life. I just wanted you all to know that there are 98 days till Spring. Not long now.
