gorgeous, like a jewel !!

Since we moved in here 35 years ago, my garden (was zone 9, now 10a) has never had a "last bloom". Our early starting once bloomers, and even some of the tea roses, start blooming in Jan/Feb, at which time some of the noisettes and polyanthas still have a few new blooms on them. I guess the roses which are fairly tender, with a lot of DNA from roses from Asia, think they should bloom all year. To do the annual pruning of roses which need it, I have to prune off buds.

This year, just to confuse me totally, yesterday I saw a Fortune's Double Yellow (definitely once blooming - usually starts here in Feb/March) in a nearby park with a fully open bloom on it! I don't really think that bush is starting its annual Spring bloom in Nov, but I will keep an eye on it...

Cecily, beautiful bloom. I am south coastal Virginia, just half zone up your area. We had a 26 low last night and what remain on the rose bush are frozen. The blooms and buds are with the deepest colors of the season
