I think the size is probably fine, but you'll need some taller accessories for the table, like a sculpture, vase, lamp or candlesticks.. See these photos for inspiration.

I wouldn't hang it any higher than about 6-8 inches off the table. You'll have to eyeball it to see what looks better.

The center of the artwork should be about 57" off the floor. Thats the height art galleries use.

I might be tempted to hang it horizontally if the height is the same as the console . I would like to see the space next to this entry IMO the enrty is the introduction to the rest of the home so should have some connection to the rest of the home . I agree the center of the art close to eyelevel you need to first figure out the direction of the pice No fake plants for sure . I do not see an electrical out let on the wall so probably no lampeither . Please post some pics of the spaces near this for context . Post the pics here in a comment DO NOT start another post

Stand back - position the artwork horizontally on the console and take another pic.

A better rule of thumb than an arbitrary 57" to centerline is to put the centerline at your eye level. Try this and see if it looks right...you'll know right away if it doesn't.

I too make the middle of the artwork 56" above the ground. It is a generally pleasing way to view artwork whether you are a tall, short, or inbetween height person. It also, wonderfully, takes the guess work out of the equation.

Do you need anything on this table? Bowl for keys or other items? I'd keep it simple. Get a nice bowl or box to put on the table and call it a day.
