I would first choose your bedding.

In your case, I would leave the drywall. That window wall is impressive and provides all the texture you need.

No shiplap. Just paint all walls the same color. You do not need another accent wall, because like ffpalms says, the windows are the accent, and you dont need a wall that would compete with it.

I would do as earlier posts suggest and not do an accent wall with paint, it wouldn’t suit this room. I would raise the drapery rods up a bit.

Just a comment about the drapery rods. Yes, agree with the above comment - they can be a little higher, but in the 2nd and 3rd photos of the wall with 3 windows, why are the drapery rods so very much longer than the windows? The drapes don’t look full enough to span to the ends, so it looks a bit out of proportion. If you’re going to paint, anyway, you may want to reset the rod brackets (assume the rod length is adjustable), as well as raise up a bit.

Hi. I would go with painting the entire room in Cedar Mountain. In addition, I would also paint the bureau in that color and also the desk. I would look for a nice comforter or bedspread that has some light blue, cedar mountain shade, possibly some navy blue, a greyish blue in it. Alternately, you could get a beautiful white comforter, paint the dresser and desk white for a nice contrast. Or you could do the wall behind the bed in grasscloth in the Cedar Mountain shade...would look nice.

IMO bedroom decor and wall color are decided after bedding . It is really easy to match wall color to something really hard to something to match wall color . I actually really love the red bedding but it probably would take you into a diffetent color scheme.I like paisley bedding it does not scream feminine or masculine but a bit more interesting than jusr solid colors Something like this with a color from the bedding for the wall s and I would not paint the furniture until at least the bed has been chosen in fact IMO choose the bedd before doing anything in the space . You really need some art on the walls too.

There will be less with a king bed. All the curtains are too skimpy in fullness, and you need to treat that large window as ONE window a shade for light and privacy control and a pair of panels with at least double fullness.

You "want a historic feel in the color". Great! Put some of that in a rug. ? I'd begin with the rug! for everything , especially paint.

Of the three colors you are considering the only one I would consider is Evergreen Fog.

The other two are both too dark and too saturated.

When you are painting something as large as a wall you have to be careful how saturated the color is. It feels a lot more colorful when you paint 100 SF of color than when you see a small sample of color.

The Evergreen Fog would also look good with the red bedding. Peale Green would be too green - beautiful, but screaming Christmas. Not really what you want year round. and Cedar Mountain is too blue green next to the bedding.

I love the Evergreen Fog, think it will look beautiful, and I would do all the walls. I would definitely get fuller curtains it will completely change the look of the room, depending on what you decide for the bed and other furniture it doesn't need to be a neutral color you can play with it a bit and make them pop in the room.

Agree that Evergreen Fog is a lovely color, just be sure to test due to the effect of lighting. I’d skip a wall treatment given walls are so broken up and add interest with art, bedding and rug choices.

You mentioned you were getting a new bed and potentially new furniture and suggest before moving forward, be sure to find inspiration rooms you love and what choices were made. Hold off painting as well until those decisions are made so you know it will complement. I thought this room would suit your furniture (in case not changing) but also like the feel, decor and colors used - imagine the entire space as a first step. Just wondering if the wall treatment might work with a king bed/nightstands that encompassed the entire section, but headboard choice would be important.

@chloe00s yes, drapery rods will go up. The rods keep extending over time when our dog goes through the curtains. 🤣 They just haven’t been put back.

FWIW the easiest way to track down images or photos is to use Google lens: first save the image to your device, then when you pull up Google -select the little camera icon on the right side of the Google search bar, that enables you to pull in your image as your ”search term” - now Google will search and give you results for your image, easy peasy lemon squeezy ✨

In all honesty, before you worry on the paint -

Draw that 17 x 25 foot space please. Show the door and window locations, feet inches all. Where the doors lead, ( bath closet hall etc)

Why? Your bedroom seems to be directly above a large living room, yes? If you want a great looking space, you may actually need a bit more than just paint , as paint does not a room make.

Maybe a bit of divide and conquer, a sitting area, and maybe even two rugs vs one. You may even consider a different king bed. You want a historic color...... what else about the overall feel in the room? Any of those pieces in the room that you are attached to such as the desk near the window? I don't see a tv....do you want one? Etc etc ) Draw that room.measure and load up below as a jpeg
