I too like a good light for cleaning and I got this one from Amazon , very affordable and lights my whole 20x15 bedroom really well. It is LED 4000K I still do not use it for when I go to bed since I like to read in bed and do not want to get out to turn the light off and IMO lighting needs to be layered not just one center light . In kids spaces maybe wall lights for extra lighting if the kids are little and still have the good center light too.

We did 4 cans on dimmers and a fan in all four bedroms here - I have to have ceiling fans, but hate the iintegrated lights, so cans were really the only choice
