Looks great! I have the same gold hardware, and would love to change them. I assume you removed them to spray paint? How many coats did you use? Did you do the hinges too?

That looks great. I, too, want to rid the house of brass so I might give this a shot. :)

Here is what I did. See photo of products. Remove all hardware from doors, prop up on paper cups or something that you can get to the edges, and poke screws through cardboard.
A light sanding with the fine grit sanding pad, then 2 or 3 light coats of the paint, and let dry between coats. Even though it says bronze, it really looks black. Let dry thoroughly before putting back on door. Does seem much more durable than I thought. Someone else did it and they said still perfect after one year. I figured that the worst is they could need a touch up if it gets scratched but it seems to be fine. I tested it on an iron candlestick first and loved it.

I also read that after sanding, spray with a metal primer before spraying with the color.
