You go to a dedicated flooring store, not a big box.. You look at all the LVP. You take home samples. You look at those in your home, with your surroundings and your lighting.

Is there a better method? NO

PS....a 72 inch plank looks much nicer: )

Other questions and answers?The fewest breaks in flooring materials in a home the better. Don't even think of butting the new LVP against another wood floor, different type , species ,anything.

When you zero in on a product you like, don't rely on the sample from a store for your final decision. Order a box to lay out in your space to see the range of tone variations and pattern repeat. That way you won't be surprised.

Everything Jan said and I will also ask why 7" and so specific when you set parameters it limits choices .
