I ahve no clue about your space and why are regular faucets too tall? They usually are tall to be able to use for all the functions in a kitchen . I have 2 of these back to back in my island they are perfect IMO Do they look too tall?

Patricia my sink is in a corner with a corner cabinet above it. Here is what the corner looks like. For reference, in the picture the top of the paper towels is 12” and the top of the knob makes it 15”. The current faucet is about 9” tall and works fine size wise.

@Patricia, OP said they are in a high rise and only have 18" above the sink ... that makes me think that she has limited space overall and the sink has a cabinet over it, so yes, your faucet could be too tall.

There are lots of faucets that will fit. I know because I have one. It's more traditional and a Rohl. I have the same faucet at my prep sink and my main sink.

The current faucet looks a bit short for a kitchen. Do you have any issue fitting pots underneath or the faucet spray not reaching the 4 sides?

My kitchen prep sink is 16”x14”x9”. The counter top to upper cabinet bottom is 18-1/4”. I have a Kohler Venatta faucet (looks like your photo #1) that is 15” high with sprayer that works great. Plenty of room to wash tall items, produce, hands, etc.

The Kohler Artifacts is similar to your photo #1 but taller. 9 finishes, several heights and a lifetime guarantee.

In the specs this one is less than 12" tall, but there are some that are even less. Used to have one in my previous house before I remodeled, but don't remember the brand.

Molly, what maximum size are you looking for? But you asked about other considerations, and that's what I’m chiming in about. After a recent week at my daughter's, I would NEVER have anything but a faucet with a pull-out spray or at least a separate sprayer. I didn’t realize how really difficult it was to keep the sink clean without one.

cpartist can you share a picture of your faucet? Design fan I only have one sink and the opening is 20x15x8.5. I did look at the Kohler Artifacts, but it is 15”. Chrispa I don’t care for that style. Lisa I totally agree that a sprayer needs to be part of the faucet, preferably one that pulls down. I’d like it to be about 12” tall. Does anyone have any information on bar v regular faucets?

A 15” tall faucet will look great with your sink. But I understand your personal preference is 12” tall.

My laundry room sprayer faucet is ~12”. I find the force of the water from the pull-out sprayer causes more overspray/splashing than the taller kitchen pull-down sprayer faucets.

Molly, for ideas you can search by size on build.com. I did a quick 10-12" search. Many but not all were similar to the the style chispa showed. If you’re interested in different styles you can expand the search inch-by-inch. Without doing an extensive search I found "high arcs" in the 15” range.

Interesting point Design Fan. Perhaps I’ll run to the store and get some in a few sizes to try.

A kitchen bridge faucet with a sprayer could work.

You could get the kind of faucet that's a pull OUT instead of a pull DOWN, like this:

They're not as pretty as the tall ones, but they function just as well. Kohler and Grohe still make this type.

Due to your height requirement, the style you need to search for is called ”pull-out” faucet. Your faucets in your OP are ”pull-down” faucets which are going to be taller due to their design other than bar size, but I think most bar faucets will be too small for a main kitchen faucet. The exception may be the Kohler Artifacts bar faucet which might work. I do not recommend a “bridge faucet” that was pictured above. The 2 handles are a PITA, and the style does not go in your space.

This Kraus Nolen faucet is the one Patricia Colwell talked about at the top of this thread. The description says it is ”Optimized to fit underneath all standard 18-inch kitchen cabinets”, but it is taller than you like at 16” tall.
