Do you want a bedside lamp for ambiance, or for reading?

I like what @ffpalms suggested. The one, long lumbar pillow works and is very easy. I was going to suggest velvet, myself. And I see you have a velvet headboard, too. The burnt orange pillow looks beautiful. But you could do any color you want. One, long bolster pillow could be another option.

Or you could put a couple of these on the bed. Amazon has these pillow cover sets in a ton of different color combinations and sizes.

If you prefer having a lamp on the night stand - you could also look at buffet lamps. People use them as bedroom lamps - when there is limited nightstand space, or if they just want more night stand space to be free, and/or because they just like the height, look, slim/low profile, etc.

What about a lamp like this from Target? For the pillows I would go with some orange or rusty color that would go really well with your blue bed. And for the lamp I would go with something simple, not too big and preferably brass I think would look nice in your room.

I would do two reading swing lamps above the bed on the wall or maybe sconces. For pillows I would pull colors from the butterfly wall hanging. Turquoise green, orange, or even a splash of red would work.

I would put the comforter inside a pretty duvet cover. Also, get a larger/wider nightstand, and a tall reading lamp. Put the plant somewhere else. It's too short to be sitting on the floor there.

Yes, a bigger chest next to the bed. Yes, a duvet cover. Picture does not show the window and whether you have curtains. What really is missing is colour. I think you should paint the walls a soothing and warm colour that you like and then add your accents (duvet cover, pillows, throw, curtains) to create a cohesive and more interesting room. The butterfly hanging is not necessary or particularly appealing and the plants seem just placed in empty corners. If you want plants, group them together to create height and texture differences. As it stands, the room is cold, lack cohesion, and an overall theme. Paint and accents are an easy and inexpensive fix. To add depth to wall colour, consider Farrow & Ball paint with its deep pigments.

I like the wall mounted lamps in my guest bedroom so much, I'm going to add them in my bedroom. They really free up space for books, glasses, etc. on the nightstand and if there's no room for a nightstand, they really are the perfect solution.
