Hi all!

We're working on recovering from a less-than-ideal contractor situation. I won't get into those details, but wanted to use this form to check on one design element he had pushed us on -- our shower curb. Our curb (made of the same quartz as our bathroom countertop) comes out and down. We were told that this was essential to preventing water damage (if we had just run the baseboard underneath it).

I totally understand the water damange component, but at the time, we were only presented with two options: use our shower tile to fill in the space under the curb on the exterior of the shower, or bring the curb down.

Is this normal? Or did he persuade us into this option when there were others?
