Did you just move in or something? The space appears kind of empty. Looks like a nice soft grey paint. What's missing is ground level ambient lighting for evening. Consider an end table with lamp and a floor lamp, as well as an accent chair in another complimentary color. A rug for the seating area that lightens and brightens the space will be nice.

Select your rug before you settle on a wall color. A wall color like SW Shoji White may go better w your sofa but best to test samples vertically against the sofa back.

Get all other furnishings in the room before deciding on paint color. You need more lighting because paint doesn't brighten a room.

I agree we need to see more of the stuff going in the space . I rarely likecream or beige with gray so that could be part of the issue. Yes you need more lighting at different levels that is where room brightening comes from. I do not think every space looks good with white walls so do not fall into that rabbit hole. Once you have more things in that space you might find the wall color is fine . I will wait until the room is a bit more finished before advising wall color. Add the new pics to comments here do not start another post.

Gray wall anything is a horrendous color with the sofa. Paint is a secondary decision based on soft furnishings, ( rug, upholstery etc ) and the light from exposure to outdoors as well.

Go select a rug, and make a floor plan first.

A soft white on the walls.....which means testing a few in your space. IN every kind of light with the blinds up in daylight unless the plan is to have the window covered.

I used BM Soft Chamois which is warmer than Classic Gray, but I agree with the other commenters that it is too soon to be repainting. Wait until the room is more finished in other respects. You might want to consider picking out a color from the rug you choose and having more of a color on the walls instead of an off-white. It's not interesting if everything is the same color. After you get a rug, add some drapes as well.

You’ve got a “new canvas”. Adding a rug and couch pillows will start the design journey. Then you can decide on window treatments (drapes would be great) and THEN reassess the wall color.

Start saving photos of living rooms and great rooms that appeal to you. Soon enough, your own taste will become apparent and you can get help implementing it in your own house. Houzz and Pinterest are great resources for photos.

See Bev’s photo. You need a large piece of art or a rug with color to set the palette for the room. Blues and greens are very easy to coordinate and work well with gray or beige. Pick the paint after you’ve chosen everything else.

Two things are off as is…the light fixture is too formal for such a casual room and table…but…if you love the contrast..it should be hung lower and centered over the table…and the grouping not too close to the door to allow comfortable passage in and out the doors…

color can be easily added with accessories and rugs..with the possibility of creating a coordinated accent wall color behind the tv…also…if privacy is an issue…curtains that pull easily over the doors at night will be needed..

it may also be better to move the couch toward the tv a little to allow a little more room to keep the table centered on the window..and allow more space for seating..plus for passing thru the room…around the table…

lets pick out the rest of the furnishings and then decide on wall color.

I'd do a diff light. I like this one. it should be hung no higher than 36" from the table top.

These gray colors are all pink/red undertone and will compliment your reddish floors.

If you want to lean toward the warmer side, try a rug like this

Balboa Mist is another one. pair it w/these soft blue/greens for accents.

swiss coffee. anything w/green will also compliment the red floors

Pair those colors w/this rug that has more neutral/olive tones to it.

for example, here's a similar color sofa

adding some textured woven wood blinds, drapes, natural tones w/the pillows/throw, some wood accents, AND a nice rug, gives a whole new vibe. Swiss Coffee might be a similar wall color to this one. (shoji white is better for a yellow toned wood)

I would not repaint it yet. I'd get a multi-colored rug, window treatments, some colorful throw pillows and blankets, plants, lamps, and prints or photos on the walls. Some organic pieces (wood, bamboo, jute) also create a more welcoming environment.

As some have suggested, the lighting is too harsh, so adding table and floor lamps will warm up the space. The chandelier is too high and also too harsh, so replace it, especially if you are planning a table and chairs in that space.

Most likely once you furnish the space, the wall color will fade into the background. And if you really don't like it after all that, then select a color that works with all your furnishings.
