Blades of grass are pretty indicative of size. But each leaf cluster is about an inch across. I don't call it a weed, because there is nothing undesirable about it. It's a plant. Does the name really matter? I wouldn't be here if it didn't.

It blooms a cluster of tiny white flowers that turn to stickers. Pull them all. It spreads like wild fire if it goes to seed.

There are numerous members of the Apiaceae which look like this in their youth. Keep watch on it. It will grow taller and bloom eventually.

Galium aparine is much different Dave. A different genus, different order.

girlnamedgalez, the Cleavers are annoying up here too. There are a few invasive Apiaceae, and Queen Anne's Lace is the most common. Texas seems to have more invasive Apiacea species. I think this species is Chaerophyllum procumbens, Spreading/Wild .Chervil. There are 2 varieties that can only be distinguished by whether their seedpods are pubescent or glabrous. Sometimes the leaflet lobes are more pointed,and sometimes more rounded, like in this case. This species is native. It should have a carrot smell.

I'm willing to believe that it's Chaerophyllum procumbens - https://www.wildflower.org/gallery/result.php?id_image=39327. A chervil. Ha ha. It's Apiaceae, which indeed is the carrot family. That would make it NOT Sticky Willy which I believe we do have some of.

I always go out of my way to pull both when I see them. It seems like just one plant can have thousands of seeds that will sprout next year. I try to never let them flower.
