Nothing is truly playing nicely together, and that's a crying shame. Wish you had asked when you were selecting, so it would have been possible to correct scale/proportion in the tiles and yes even the vanity and paint with those elements

Change the faucet to chrome.

Now, before I suggest anything else, can you live with the rest. Do YOU really like the result? : ) I think you are not totally thrilled?

Least amount of "fix"?

Change the floor tile to a larger format tile: a pale gray porcelain, at least 6 x 12 in size, or disguise as much as you can with a rug in gray and blue.

Get more of the tub tile. Tile the entire wall around the window, ( that will BEG a change in floor tile ) or at the VERY least, get a paint match to it and paint all four of the walls that deep blue.

Paint the vanity to white.

You chose things you like, but you didn't consider the whole of the mix.

The single biggest issue is the disconnect in tiles and the busy busy of unrelated color and no enough visual separation in scale .

Let’s not start with everything looks terrible. I think you need just simplify (less colors) and add nice towels/containers/window cover. I would repaint walls to very light gray from your floor tiles. Change fauset to chrome. Paint your mittot to math blue/green tiles in the bath.

I will agree a lot going on. The faucet to chrome , a frameless mirror and some nice fluffy towels and not the tiny shelves that will add to the mix . Do a nice chrome hotel towel rack and the walls white color from the floor tile and paint thevnity the same blue as the wall tile in the shower ,A nice glass shower screen .

If the tub and shower hardware were black, I'd go with black - but, since they are not polished chrome suffices.

After you're done consider painting the shelves over the toilet.

Thanks for all the comments and notes. Will be difficult to change tile as we just did the remodel. The vanity looks very dark in the picture. It is actually grey and match the darker floor tiles - but we were very unsure if we should go with white or grey vanity, went with grey in the end as more interesting and thought it would match the floor colors better. The floor also comes across very dark in the picture, it is much lighter. We also have a white shower curtain (don’t have picture, will post one soon) which helps to blend everyting in better. Agree there are too many colors and we definitely looking to change the floating shelves to a darker color. I feel if we change either the faucet to polished chrome or both the faucet and the mirror to polished chrome - then it should simplify the color scheme. Perhaps add more whites (tiles, etc.) then hopefully it looks less busy color wise

Hm, if you put everything to chrome, it ' d be united but boring. I guess you bought the black mirror because it somewhat resonated with you. I voted to change everything into black, but it doesn' t necessary be that way. It can help if you unite the same objects: all hardwate to chrome, all furniture to the same color (in other words to paint the shelfs into vanity color). If you add wall color curtain and add black styled bathroom mat (that support black mirror) all can be balanced. Reapetaed objects (the same vanity and shelf, the same mirror and mat, wall and curtain) brings rhytm, overall harmony with a touch of dramma (not boring).

How about finding an antique wood framed mirror with simple lines...nothing ornate. It'd add some great texture and warmth. Otherwise, once you add towels and other stuff to the vanity and shelves much of the differences will disappear.

Great feedback. That is my worry - if we change hardware to polished chrome and let’s say we paint the vanity white it starts becoming too boring..

You have so many angles in that room, I'm thinking a round mirror might soften it up a bit.

I'd prob paint the vanity a deep peacock or some blue shade that works w/the tile.

get some plants on the shelves, some other accessories.

Maybe some art above the towel bar that coordinates all those colors.

If you paint the vanity the color of the tile, change to chrome and change the mirror, it won't be boring.

Got someone to photoshop several options. Three pictures have more brown/orange shelves and one picture has the shelves the same color as the vanity. Also tried making vanity white and it didn’t look good with photoshop. Let me know which one looks better

well you don't want yellowish anything. so, NO to the yellow wood options. 1,2 or 4

anything w/darker or cooler wood tones is fine. #2 I like it w/the silver options.

Once you get some little plants and items w/color on the shelves, and maybe a piece of art over the towel bar, it will be fine.

if you want something white/nickel, try these w/similar items. (more green plants though)

art is personal, so get what you like, as long as it works w/the colors

have you thought about doing a window film?

even if you just did the white film, its better than the plain window

extra color, do a stained glass effect

I don't see a glass shower door. Is a shower curtain going to be added to the mix? If so, ask for suggestions while you've got some great minds on this thread. Not mine, but there are several good ones commenting on this.

I like the blue vanity.

you could do marble shelves or something darker

It might be easier to decide what to do once you get the accessories in there.

hang some towels, the shelving w/some greenery and other things, some art, maybe a wicker basket next to vanity w/rolled up towels. even a teak 'bath mat' would be nice.

if you removed every single item in this bathroom except the vanity, it would look pretty blah. like yours.
