What is the finish that comes on them from the factory?

Can you? Sure. Should you? Probably not. Remember that hardwood and water don't mix well, and that your prefinished floors have small bevels that excess water can get between and cause issues.

I used to clean my wood floors with a sponge mop and bucket of water with Woodwise cleaner added, but they were site finished. They had finish applied after sanding. I made sure not to use too much water and I dried them after cleaning to eliminate and chance of streaking. I don't recommend this to customers to avoid any chance they'd wreak havoc.

Best to take the advice from Unique above and get the proper kit.

Get the kit. No wet mops on wood floors ever - unless you immediately dry with a towel right after. Bone dry.

BTW - Mirage is a great product!

How did they turn out? Did you go with mirage white oak natural and if so did you do the solid hardwood (not the engineered)? We were considering but now I’m hesitant given price tag plus a bunch of negative reviews re its resiliency.
