Frustrated with kitchen project

My contractor installed this wall where the fridge is. I don't like how it turned out. I bought a 2" filler to add between the wall furthest to the right and the over the fridge can't. There's not a lot of space on both sides of the fridge. He said he couldn't add a filler. Also, the space on the left of the fridge is wider near the ground. He said this is the best he could do. What would you do to make this better?
Also, he installed the cabinets on the fridge wall last and they are higher by 2 inches compared to the wall where most of the wall cabinets are. I'm afraid this doesn't look good once it's all done.
The drywall hasn't been completely repaired and he mounted all the kitchen cabinets. Not happy about this.

Please have him correct the cabinets over the fridge so they align with all others.

Did he misalign the fridge handles as well? If so, he needs to straighten them.

More importantly, have you read the fridge installation instructions? Unless it's an integrated fridge, they usually need an air gap for ventilation so the motor doesn't overheat and burn out. I don't see that.

Who measured and designed this kitchen? It looks like the above fridge cabinet is too high. Matching that to the next cabinet is what caused them to be higher than the cabinets on the other wall.

I have no idea why the wall wasn't completed prior to install of cabinetry.

The fridge wall cabinets are installed at the level of the fridge housing cabinet height, which can't be adjusted as it is a one piece/ tall cabinet. It can't be lowered or the fridge won't fit . Worse is it appears he cut the right side of the housing to jam that cabinet into the space. Someone didn't account for that air space and total height , so the sink wall was installed at standard, and they are lower......

The space narrowing left of fridge? The fridge or floor not level, or a warp in the cabinet housing. There are levelers beneath the fridge.

You need to be telling him, not us: )

I'd ask why the popcorn ceiling and lighting wasn't addressed, but that's a different topic.

One piece cab ( see pic below ).......and your fridge needs to go back to where you purchased or handles are not correctly installed. The doors are level at top.

The kitchen plan and the squeeze to a garage door? Not good.

Whoever did the measuring and cabinet ordering messed up. The cabinets on the fridge wall can’t move down because the fridge opening would not be high enough. You can move the other wall cabinets up to match the height of the fridge wall.

    Folks????

You can not lower the fridge wall cabinets!

This is an inexpensive cabinet line, that fridge housing is a single unit - the upper is not separate anything!

    Badly designed kitchen: )

    • I am always concerned when people don’t understand that most popcorn ceilings have asbestos. Once you cut into them, as it looks like has happened here, there has been a significant carcinogen put into the air that can kill the contractor, the house’s occupants, children, pets, etc. And people just don’t seem aware of this major major hazard. I see all of this, and I think two things: one, get your popcorn ceiling tested, and two, the cabinets and the drywall are the least of your worries at this point..

    • My mother-in-law died of mesothelioma, and our theory is that when they tore down houses around her residential neighborhood to put in six-family condos, there was no attention paid to asbestos being generated into the air.
