Since that is the back of the island, I would look for the same kind of wood (looks like oak to me) and stain the baseboard to match.

However, can you just remove it. That seems like it would just look better If there is a gap to be hidden, maybe quarter-round/shoe moulding would be better. Again stained to match the cabinet or the flooring.

Looks more like a cabinet toe kick than a baseboard trim. Is that same material throughout the room?

You’re close. Needs to be a tad darker and a tad less peach -

@jackowskib It’s base molding. The toe kick was damaged during removal and the flooring company put the same base around the entire room.
