Outdoor Family Crest?

Curious if anyone knows anything about either this crest in particular, or outdoor family crests in general? Were these common additions to home exteriors during a certain period?

This is a tudor style home built in 1926 (DFW area). Not sure if this is likely original to the home or a more recent addition?

The crest reads ”Semper Nomen” which sounds fairly generic and hasn’t yielded anything obvious from online searches.

The 4 graphical depictions seem to refer (from upper left moving clockwise) to: The Order of the Golden Fleece/professional clothiers, a tree (fairly generic in heraldry?), the See of York (perhaps?), and the House of Courtenay.

any information would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, find out from the previous owners if you can. But I would hazard a guess that it is modern by the way it's made. Always a name indeed. Not the See of York- the crown is wrong, but it is a popularish motif. Not sure that's the golden fleece either, it's not the right shape or positioning.

Maybe prior owners went on a trip to Europe and decided to add a crest to the house for fun and decided it was too much work and/or destructive to brick to remove when they moved. It looks like tin to me and of a fairly recent vintage. I would think a 1926 piece would not have cut in scrolls but actual scrolls and be more heavy/substantial. It looks good in the spot and is pretty. I just question whether it is historical.

It could also be that the prior owners were rennies- Scarborough is DFW area.
