You could consider a free standing tub, or a shower enclosure instead.

Change the window.

Change both closets to reach-ins, and push each bathroom into the new space. This also gives more counterspace and storage in the bathrooms. The closets won’t suffer, right now most of the interior space is just for standing in anyway. Remember that clothes don’t turn corners, so that corner would be a black hole anyway.

You could make the closets a little deeper than normal. I covet my son’s closet, which is 42” deep, making it a ”step-in” closet. We put in elfa with drawers across the back, and the sides have plenty of room for hooks for his belts, lanyards, robe, hoodies, etc.

Enclosed glass shower on the window wall and move the toilet to where the back of the tub is. Just a thought.

Unfortunately windows can not be changed , since all plans have been approved by the city now . We don’t have a designer just trying to get alternative layout ideas before framing starts .

Plans submitted for approval should not deter good design. What you have is bad design. Here is your chance to correct/improve it. Changing a window size and/or location is minor and most likely the least disruptive. Whoever is advising you is not looking after your best interest. For a designer to make such a poor detail, chances are there are other issues in the design.

Who is "we" ?

So the window is 2 ft off the floor ... and you have a toilet in front of it and the window is partly in the shower? How did this even get past the "idea" phase?

You need a smaller window that is placed up higher over the toilet and isn't in the shower area.

That's what I had to do and it's a darn good thing I did because now my house works beautifully.

It's a heck of a lot cheaper to make changes on paper than it is to do it once you start building, Take a step back.

You could move the tub to clear the window and convert the WIC above to a deep closet. I would add shelves too in the bathrooms (blue rectangles):

If you like the layout, change the window. That's the easiest thing to do and you should pull plans if necessary. While not recommending this, I bet you could change the window size without adjusting your plans, and most likely no one would ever notice. I can't advise doing this but just saying...

If you don't like the layout anyway, then redo it. But either way, I would think you would have to update plans with the city.
