Design Overload

Help! I’m currently in design overload, trying to figure out a room that I will be making my home office. There are a few things that I’ve chosen already and love, that will need to be in the room. Other than that, I’d love to see some suggestions. If this were your home office, how would you do the layout, what would you use for organization and workspace?

I’m painting it SW Accessible Beige (we have a lot of paint left over from a remodel), the floral fabric will be curtain panels hung from the ceiling, the wood in the floor is the start of the window trim out, and the dog is just because I couldn’t convince him to move Amythjng after that is open to suggestions! Thanks so much!!!move. :)

Sorry for the typos. It wouldn’t let me see those last few lines before I posted! 😂

And sorry for the mess. It was my FILs room and we’re still going through his things.

Love that fabric and love nosy doggie!

To help with suggestions, what kind of work equipment will need to be in there? Do you work from home?

Do you have a desk yet, or one picked out? Will you need shelving or a bookcase(s)?

There are lots of posters here great with room layouts (I’m not one of them), the more context the better. :)

Love the fabric!

I would love green on the walls too, it would feel just like a hug.

Maybe if you have bookcases you can paint the inside of the bookcases that dark green?

I don't know what type of work you do, and if you have a storage closet in there.

Most of the photos of home offices I see online and in magazines do not show adequate storage for office supplies, computer equipment and supplies, miscellaneous electronic equipment, books, and files and e-data storage.

Please carefully plan out what you already have and how you project your your needs to change.
