I am an experienced authorized TopZero installer. Your sink is installed wrong. It needs to be pulled, raised, and have the top edge properly profiled.

Properly installed, these are amazing sinks. I'd send a note to TZ; they'll send a note to the installer that if ever wants to buy another, he'll fix yours at no charge. They just can't have this kind of crap on the interwebby.

Is the counter chipping or is it caulk?

1. That's really thin quartz.

2. If that's the edge, it looks like it was cut VERY poorly and not finished leaving it vulnerable to chips.

I'd put this on the terrible cutout finishing.

And I just explored TopZero. Seems like a weird product - worst of both worlds? I mean the tolerances required and then even the tight radius corners - you have to be a superior fabricator and installer. Maybe just hard to find qualified folks.

This is one of the unfortunate byproducts of choosing Top Zero. It's why I won't sell them. It's inevitable that such a sharp and thin edge chips. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. It's not a defect, unless you want to say that the entire concept of Top Zero is defective. It's built into the concept.

Top Zero has been manufacturing and installing some of the finest quality sinks around the world for decades. Licensed and insured guys like me with a 4.8 customer satisfaction rating out of a possible 5 over decades do not partner with manufacturers creating products with design defects.

Unlike you, I have substantiated my claim that properly installed Top Zero sinks are terrific. I've documented two installations and have plenty more if you and/or others are still skeptical. No callbacks or complaints for years.

The close up picture below, from the Top Zero website, looks like the sink side is meant to come up to be even with the top of the counter so that no counter edge would be exposed next to the sink as yours is. (Also from their site: "... the rimless stainless steel edge reaches the surface level...") From your pictures, it looks like the top of your counter sits slightly higher than the sink edge? Also, the counter edge looks unfinished / unpolished as mentioned above.

Joseph Corlett, you think I should send the pics to TZ and they will arrange it with the designers company? The designers company sub-contracted whoever did the stone.
