I know what you mean about not liking yellow undertones. The key is finding a color whose yellow undertones are balanced in a way to be reasonably hidden in the light of a north facing room. But once the chip was placed in the kitchen, the yellow mostly disappeared except under direct lighting, and even then it was not too much yellow that I felt it was garish. After painting the room, my sister, who is an art teacher, disagreed with me that the green on my walls had yellow undertones. I have a lot of windows and white cabinets and paneling, so that is also a factor to consider. I had to paint the kitchen walls over and over, trial and error, to get it right, and even then I did not find the miracle color I was looking for, but I am fairly happy with the results.
