LVP or hardwood on stairs

We are redoing our first floor with Coretec Red River Hickory. One company says they would do LVP up the stairs, one says they don't do LVP on stairs due to wear and safety concerns. They would want to do oak stairs stained to match. Are the overall concerns with LVP on stairs? Wear, cracking etc

Plastic caps on stairs never works long term. On floors either, but that's another issue.
