Hi Tim, I’m far from a pro but would want to pull more focus to the front door and entry area than garage door. In your three examples my eyes are pulled straight to the garage, but see what the pros say. The all white with black trim is definitely very trendy in our neighborhood.

Why highlight the garage, not an attractive feature. Therefore for me, #3 is by far the most attractive, and is quite nice.

It just depends on what you want. With those 3 choices, #3 looks best but still highlights the garage.

I don't know why you would accent one over the other, paint it all the same color, it will look larger and unified. I would select a timeless green shade

I think that color scheme could work for our design, but do also agree with Lyn, that a single color would make the home appear larger and more unified

Based on the style of your home I think one color should be used for both house and garage. Beverly's two tone example with the black garage looks very nice because of the different architecture pitches going on that lends more character.

Yes, the different-color garage doesn't seem right. I'm not crazy about the dark gray, but agree with unifying the colors.

Thank you all - these reply's are super helpful. This is what the all white option would look like, and leaning towards based on the feedback received. We are considering a lighter colored garage door to match the other wood trim if we go this direction 🤔 FYI - the front door is full light, tinted glass (already installed)

I would do all one color, and I wouldn't do white because I think it's very trendy. Your house being corrugated metal is interesting and modern. I like the light to medium grays that have been proposed. And instead of the white fascia, I would match the fascia to the roof or the windows, and make the garage door the same color as the house or the trim so it doesn't stand out so much.

Because the scale of the house is modest, all one color looks good to me. I prefer a medium or darker gray, perhaps an interesting deep gray-green. Garage door could be a bit darker or lighter than house color. More interesting than ubiquitous white with black.

All one color. I like the white. Before modern farmhouses became trendy, all white houses were classic. Who cares about trends if you like the look? With a medium toned wood garage door and landscaping, it can look beautiful.

Thanks @kendrah ! I realize its trendy in some locations, but really havent seen it much in my area, and none at all in my neighborhood, so I think it could stand out even thought it might be more common in other locations.

Why are you wanting to make the garage the focal point IMO you had a huge space and made the garage special on purpose . Of the 3 choices you post in the poll the last one IMO Sorry modern farmhouse style to me is just some trendy name for house on a farm. I can hardly see the entry to the home which IMO should be the focal point . I do agree it is your house do what you love .

I would recommend using one paint color. With the garage part of the structure having different architectural features from the house part of the structure, it helps to disguise the interaction between the two different parts.
