I just built this wall buildout, its a cool design but it needs some color to really pop it out of the wall.

Can you please elaborate a bit? What room is this in? What other colours are you putting in by way of furniture and accessories? What is this buildout going to store?

Then perhaps some of the great experts will have more to work on giving their advice. Nice job by the way.

Living room, going to have a noche travertine floor, going to have a lcd tv, stereo stuff, fish tank, plants on it.

This looks like a lot of work, very cool! Worth the effort for a one of kind piece like this...please post a picture when you settle on colors and have it set up!

You are putting a lot of things on a small place. Just the TV would be enough. What color are walls. Then paint unit as a accent, just paint the bump outs. Paint back part your wall color. With travertine floors, could go a lot ways.

Your flooring looks gray? Then unit looks dark gray. What is wall color? Are there stairs on end?

I guessing the fish tank will go on top part? I would make tank as long as that shelve.

I would pick a warm-toned gray--taupe. SW 7025 Backdrop or SW 6152 Superior Bronze

Once you decide on wall color then figure out color for unit. Wall color will dictate unit color.
