Take down the unnecessary mirrors and add a tall element, a tree to the corner. Pull the wing chair away from the corner. Add a floor lamp and round drum table to the location.

Those short squat table lamps are not doing the room any favors in appearance. Replace them with unobtrusive floor lamps and round drum tables.

Replace the brass sconces with something less obtrusive.

I love those mirrors. Sad to see them go, though they are dwarfed by the bookcases.

Hmmm, the mirrors aren't a big issue for me. The color of the furnishing doesn't go well with the yellow tone of the flooring. Are those slipcovers on the furniture? If so, you might consider replacing them with a color that will be a better match with the flooring. I understand that you like your entertainment center but my eye was immediately drawn to the tv as it is about the only color in the room. Can doors be installed on your entertainment center so that the tv isn't always visible? The room could use other pops of color throughout but in the pillows for sure. Good luck!
