According to a chart in The Spruce your proposed 27" fan (max airflow 1461) is suitable for a room up to 50 square feet; your room is 360 square feet. For that size room, a 52-56" fan is recommended. Hover 52" LED Smart Fan with weathered wood blades (max airflow 5753). Also, depending on the ceiling height, the proposed fan may be too close to the ceiling to be effective.

I ran across an airflow chart after posting this and discovered the same thing. Which now begs the question why would anyone purchase a fandeliers at all? The only room I could think that a fixture like that would work in is a bathroom. Even a small bedroom would be too large for a fan with that airflow rating.

Well, you were ready to buy it.

I was ready to buy it if it was effective…hence the original post. I’m guessing people aren’t buying them for the purpose of air flow as I haven’t found one the moves over 1600 cfm. I’m not a fan of the look of ceiling fans so thought they might be a good alternative. But the need for fans in Tennessee outweighs the aesthetic dislike.

I'm in Texas so yeah we need fans everywhere. For my large living room with double height ceilings, we went with a 72", dont recall the cfm but it was the highest I could find.

For a couple of smaller rooms where a chandelier was replaced with a fan, I went with a fandelier. For instance, my study is 15 by 12 with 15' ceilings, my fandelier works great. I never even use it at the highest setting. I also have one in the gameroom upstairs which is large, 20 by 17, 10' ceiling. It works fine, maybe towards the corners of the room its not that effective but for the most part its fine, especially at the seating area its just as good as the fan we replaced.
