What are you planning to use the loft for? IMO way too early to figure out furniture for a space not designed for a purpose from the beginning. What other spaces are on this level? If you post a to scale floor plan of that whole level maybe we can help. Post it here in jpeg format in a comment DO NOT start another post .Show every window , doorway where those lead and every measurement clearly marked

I would put the sofa on the far wall from the entrance to the space. Be careful not to buy something too large. You should be able to put at least one end table next to it so you can have a lamp next to the sofa. You could also put it on the window wall. Then you would have more room. How do you think the space will be used? Everyone in my community has a loft and they're frequently used for home offices. But an office is better with a door. You could have the opening framed for French doors. Even if you're not going to use it for an office it would make a good away room where someone could read or do something else that requires some peace and quiet. I have a daybed in mine which is used rarely, but sometimes I need that one more bed. If you put the sofa on the window wall you could have a TV across from it if you want an alternate TV viewing room.

Thanks! The room will be used to relax and watch television. The home has a study in the first floor that will be used for an office.
