Duct options for WOLF 42" Low Profile Wall Hood?

Seeking confirmation that i can get any duct cover for the 42" Low Profile Wall Hood, not just the WOLF brand that is as wide as the hood itself? The hood has an optional converter for the rectangular dict opening to convert it to a 10" round, and I figured we'd be able to get or order or have made a rectangular cover that would only be about as wide as the rectangular opening, say 14" vs. the full-on (not to us easthetically OK) cover designed by Wolf. Anyone have any experience with something like this? I've read through https://bamasotan.us/range-exhaust-hood-faq/ and am trying to find a compromise between form and function.

Wolf chimney hoods have a top surface that is 18-inches narrower than the bottom area. The compatible chimney sizes for this line might do what you want. DIY chimney pieces are simple for a sheet metal shop, but may not match the stainless steel of the hood.

You're asking whether you can fabricate your own chimney to surround the duct between the proposed hood and ceiling. Sure; the hood doesn't "care". But you'd also have to figure out how to attach the custom chimney to the hood and you'd need some kind of bracket to support the chimney at the ceiling. Why not just purchase a hood that ships with a chimney and all the required hardware? For example:

What's the maximum height of the hood, not including the chimney, that you'll accept?

We're OK with using an island hood. There isn't a max cutoff, it depends on the overall profile, we would prefer something that isn't calling too much attention to itself. It is goign to be on a wall between 2 windows, with a long expanse of lower cabinets and no uppers, so it will really stand out. We understand the improved performance from a "pyramidal" shaped interior vs the "Flat" profile, we are trying to figure out a compromise so we don't have something that looks like the picture with the Wolf model - i know there is a low-profile one (that i mentioned above) and that is not what is depicted below...
