I'd get a carpenter to build that custom built in to hang clothes.

Those acoustic panels are fine, or, just paint the wall black (or forest green), get some 1X1 wood slats, cut to size, stain them, attatch to the wall.

This closet set up is very much like what my daughter did as there was no closet in her guest bedroom. Built a closet on either side of bed and do whatever you want for a headboard. This picture shows a wall treatment you like. The ideas of a tambour wall treatment is easy to do because you can buy it in sheets from places like Home Depot.

As for your niche, could you utilize a desk there, or a chest/art/lamp?

@elcieg..the “nook” is only 7” deeper than my other wall. Didn’t think of a desk there…but I guess it’s possible. I was thinking to utilize that for cabinet space…definitely food for thought

So you're doing the entire wall w/the acoustic panels? and you're sure they're rated for exterior sound dampening?? how much so?

hows your insulation? would be better to do heavy insulation in the wall, and instead of drywall, do a plywood panel w/the drywall over that. don't forget double or tripled pane windows. (i have a freeway behind our house)

curious why a closet wasn't built into this room? (when you sell, you can't list it as a bedroom unless it has a closet. Can you build in a little walk-in closet in that one space?)

I’m in Canada. We don’t have rules like that here. I wanted to have built ins and not a walk in closet. It’s just my taste.
As stated above, the insulation has being completely redone. The walls were removed and new siding, insulation, and windows were all added.
I don’t have to do floor to ceiling acoustic panels. It was just an idea I had.
