Have you considered painting the doors (and windows) to match the room color? I did this in our last house 7yrs ago. The ceiling will look a tad different since it is on a different plane, but it's better than white. All the rooms felt very welcoming and cozy.

I won't suggest colors, as I used F&B or matches thereof. A favorite was a soft medium green, and a blue gray that looked blue.

We just used drift of mist in a bathroom renovation. It is beautiful.

It all depends on what you mean by a "warm neutral" and just how much color you want.

In my several homes over the decades, I have enjoyed Navajo White from various brands. Each brand has its own version, each varies in depth of color, and base tone (one will be a bit tan, one a bit yellow, one a bit green... usually a complex shade, not a pure color, that acts as a neutral behind other decor items/colors).

Allison0704 I love the idea of color washing everything. The drift of mist picture from clt3 is beautiful but wondering if that’s too dark for walls, trim doors and ceiling. Any suggestions for a light neutral that could look good for a color wash?

My suggestion would be to get brochures and/or paint chips to view in your space, as your light is not the same as my light or anyone here. Then buy sample pots, paint a sample board you can move around in a room at different times of the day/night. Even then the type of lighting in your new home will make a differnce too.

CLT3 i love your wood cabinets. Is it maple and what is the stain?

@lawbery, the cabinets are quarter sawn white oak with a custom stain. We told the cabinet maker we wanted them light but not yellow. I do know some white was added.
