In addition to changing up my watering routine this year--watering shorter periods more often in my sandy loam soil(yes I mulch and compost the heck out of it, but I live on a hill top and that dang soil drains ridiculously quick), I am looking at putting an injection system on my emitters. I have a system from dripworks that does good on watering my 60 or so roses, but in looking at all there stuff, I can't figure out how you determine the concentration. Like if I am doing a liquid fertilizer that says 1 tbl spoon per gallon....how do I figure that in on a 1 gallon container for the injector? I have also looked at just putting a siphon with a 5 gallon bucket on it, but again I have no idea how I do the ratio for the mix. I have about 20 roses on a line of emitters but have no clue how I would get the fertilization rate correct?
