The garage dominates. This is a good thing if you have snowy winters; it’s easy to clear snow from the short driveway. I would get much nicer garage doors, and then really make the front entry pop.

We thought the gray needed to be changed to white as well.

Paint gray stripe to white and the front door blue. By painting the door blue, it will visually move the eye. I think the house is nice.

The house looks striped. I'd paint the whole thing the bluish gray of the gables. Then, I'd do the door in a constrasting color. Wine looks good with bluish gray. If you like the two-tone look, then I'd have two (or three) colors much closer in tone and put the darkest color on the bottom. The house looks top-heavy with the dark gables over the white house.

It looks like a nice house. I agree about painting the house all one color. The blue/gray in the gables is a nice shade. Paint the door a bright color. Put a large bright pot with tall greenery next to the door.

Improving the landscape and hardscape will add curb appeal as well. I'd replace the concrete walk with stone, widen and lengthen it, and have it curve out towards the driveway.

The suggestions for painting the body of the house one color are on point. I also thing that landscaping is a key to making the best of this home. I would plant a tree to the right side of the house. And consider an ornamental picket fence that creates a courtyard effect to the front right, adding interest to that space and diminishing the emphasis on the garage area.

If this is in an HOA-governed neighborhood, check the bylaws for your options.

Short windows can always be changed to larger ones later….unless there’s something inside that prevents that, such as cabinets, window seats etc.

That’s what we thought too but I would rather ask the builder to do that prior to buying it. I’m sure that wouldn’t be cheap.
