Hello folks! Any ideas?

Over the concrete or tearing it out? I assume you would want to keep it ground level? Budget? DIY or hiring out? The current concrete may not be flat enough for tile, may only be able to be epoxied pr put down carpet again.

I was thinking on top, but I don’t think it is flat enough for tile. I’m thinking of doing something like the pic below

Talk to a landscape design expert. We’ve removed massive concrete areas before, but then left with ‘what to do with broken concrete?’ Some may think DIY is cheaper, but get estimates on all options. I like the idea of pavers in the real lawn, or pavers set in pea gravel since rain can go into the ground and not puddle or pool.

You would be removing all the existing then, this would get pricey quick. If your not budgeting 25K at a minimum for removal, site prep and a new pour forget about it. Area dependent is may be a hell of a lot more.

They have beautiful textured concrete paint these days at Home Depot. The before and after picsare stunning. I believe u gave to acid wash first, but not much else. One of the brands actually boasts not having to worry about cracks or pock marks at all, they will fill in. Perhaps a lot more work vs money?

You can, but it will last about a minute or two before it will be in the same condition as the current concrete and be twice as much work to demo and dispose of.

One of the brands actually boasts not having to worry about cracks or pock marks at all, they will fill in.

Any of these one step miracle finishes are pure BS. This will look awful with this finish flaking off in no time.

Do it right and do it once. It will only get more expensive with each attempted "fix".
