Does a simple wall mounted tub diverter exist?

As I'm getting ready to remodel my bathroom, there is one minor annoyance I was wondering if there is a better solution to. The annoyance: tub spout diverters. They seem to always leak a little bit of water, and I would prefer every drop of water possible being used on the shower.

Also, my wife and I never take baths. So it's easier to just turn on the shower and go instead of messing with the diverter. I know it's not much, but it's something you do every day and I like to think of those details. If we want to take a bath, then we could just turn the theoretical diverter that I'm hoping exists.

Question is, I can't seem to find any sort of shower trim or separate valve that would be a 100% shutoff to the tub spout, and remain that way until needed. In theory, I believe a ball valve could be installed, yet would not look very nice ;)

All of the shower diverters I found are intended for multiple shower/body sprays. I've read that the flow to the tub would not be very high in the case that you do want to fill the tub. Also they are usually at least a 3 way function to allow both on at the same time, which would make no sense for this use.

Does such a thing exist? Of course in my mind I'm starting to devise a plan to install a ball valve on the line from the shower valve to the tub spout and make a custom trim for the DIY diverter. But then I'll probably realize it's faster to deal with the annoying tub spout diverter.
