Help me add color, please.

Good morning! Has anyone decorated a mostly neutral room (grey, neige, black/white) with jewel toned accents? I have a neutral room with black/white abstract.... gray couch. Looking for pillow combinations containing black, navy, emerald, burgundy etc....

Or any ideas? Thanks! (artwork is not hung yet lol) -included some pillow ideas...

IMO adding color in pillows is the wrong way to go with this room. It's too 'smooth'. It needs texture.. Add color with the art. Too bad you didn't provide larger images of the actual living room/dining room.

You can't fix a room by adding one element (pillows). The room could use a floor lamp in the dark corner, some ceramics, some metal objects etc.

I’m not a fan of a random color for the sake of color; look for subtle connections. Also consider shape, size, quantity, placement. Inspiration pictures can be really helpful; try searching “grey sectional couches in living room“ on Houzz and Pinterest and once you see a combo you like, search Pinterest for cushion combinations in that/those colors. Think big picture as room is really not there yet; aim for cohesion.

I do like this art, as well. In y'alls opinion- could I incorporate jewel tones with something like this?

    Or this....

I'm all for jewel tones, but just one color... used at least three times in the room.

think color, texture, pattern, shine. Your grey and beige is just the background.

a painted sideboard, a lamp, coffee table/automan Choose a color and get started.

The colours in you photo aren't very good, not sure if you sectional is gray or taupe.

I would start with replacing the rug with one that has more punch. I show one that has some white, taupe & gray. Once you replace the rug, get a few accent pillow to coordinate with the rug. You also need a coffee table and perhaps a lamp (I don't know if there's room for a side table with lamp so I show a floor lamp). As for your artwork above the console table, choose a large piece of art that you like and display something like what is shown below.

Maybe start with a piece of art with a bit of color to pull from. Randome colorful pillows with no connection is not the way to do this. If you love the art then a more colorful rug to pull colors from
