I can't find a bumpy. light colored bark to match any of Bursera.

Most of the Bursera I checked have flakey or smooth mature bark. Some red in color.

Odd for me too that in my first picture it shows those long, hedge trimmer like branches like on the elephant tree, which is different from the epicormic and other branches that show a small leaf like structure. Same tree, two kinds of growth?

I know there may be etiolated features to the one I photographed being it's grown inside but to me this one is a bit overwhelming. :-/

O. decaryi didn't show up for me during my first searches but yes, I think you're right.

I've seen many examples searching on that name, and some are very similar.

The leaves in my picture look more closely to dedaryl too.

Can grow to 20-30 ft. in Madagascar.

The pot didn't look very large that they had it in, a large bonsai? ;-)

Large approximation of a bonsai. the plant can easily send out 2 or 3ft long new growth in a season. Then chop it off ans grow it again.
