This thread discusses a lot about the different invisible induction options. As I understand it, Gaggenau Essential is not yet available anywhere and will only be available in Europe, Turkey, and the Middle East beginning May 2024. It is only available in a single row across your countertop.
I remember that Dino Rachiele was selling Invisicook for a while. It is no longer on his web site, so my guess is it did not sell well. But he is such a pro, and so great at curating the few things he sells that he doesn’t make himself, that I bet if you asked him about it he could give you the 411.
I like the idea of an induction cooking surface that is not glass. My sister’s house came with a beautiful Fazar (1980s, I think) induction top installed under ceramic tile. It was gorgeous, it became finicky with age and tough to repair so she replaced it with a Wolf induction top. The epoxy grout got old, but the tiles looked new after cleaning even 40-ish years in. Her Wolf top already has a scratch.
I don’t love the idea of an invisible cooktop. I’’ve seen them used in renovation shows and i think they look weird, which is to say I am accustomed to seeing a cooking surface in a kitchen. On one show they ground circles into the counter material to reveal the cooking zones.
